Here’s a super easy and effective recipe to make your own homemade odor neutralizer spray — great for freshening up rooms, fabrics, shoes, or even the car!

🌿 DIY Odor Neutralizer Spray

✅ What You Need:

  • 1 tablespoon baking soda

  • 1 cup distilled water (or boiled and cooled water)

  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar (optional – boosts odor-fighting)

  • 10–20 drops essential oil (optional – for scent; lavender, lemon, eucalyptus, etc.)

  • Spray bottle (8 oz or larger)

🧪 Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl or cup, dissolve the baking soda in a few tablespoons of warm water.

  2. Add the baking soda mix to your spray bottle.

  3. Pour in the rest of the water (up to 1 cup total).

  4. If using, add vinegar and essential oils.

  5. Shake well before each use.

🌬️ How to Use:

  • Spray into the air, onto fabric, shoes, trash cans, or anywhere odors linger.

  • Avoid using directly on silk, leather, or delicate surfaces without testing first.

📝 Pro Tips:

  • Vinegar smell fades quickly but works well at killing odor-causing bacteria.

  • Essential oils not only smell good but can also have antibacterial properties.

  • Store in a cool, dark place and shake before each use since ingredients may settle.
