✅ When They’re Not Permanent
Dark circles can be temporary or reversible when caused by:
Lack of sleep or fatigue
Dehydration
Allergies (can be managed or treated)
Eye strain from screens
Poor diet
Temporary hyperpigmentation (e.g., due to sun exposure)
Making lifestyle adjustments or using the right skincare can reduce or eliminate them in these cases.
⚠️ When They Might Be Permanent
Dark circles may be harder to treat or permanent if they are caused by:
Genetics/hereditary factors
Very thin under-eye skin
Deep-set eyes or facial bone structure
Chronic hyperpigmentation
Aging (loss of fat and collagen makes the area hollow or shadowed)
Even in these cases, they can often be visibly improved with consistent skincare, cosmetic treatments, or makeup — but full “permanent removal” may not be possible without medical procedures.
